Sea fishing in Oman
Are you a keen sea fisherman and looking for a new location in the warmth of the Indian Ocean? If so, go sea fishing off the coast of Oman with this new and upcoming offering through Noukhada with our partners in southern Oman. Examples of what you might catch.
The fishing techniques normally used are: popping; light cast; jigging and we can use live bait if you want. We prefer catch and release but only once the evidence has been captured. We recommend a start to each day of between 7am and 8am and a return at around 3pm, depending on how the day and the fishing has gone.
There are 3 different fishing boats available. The boats have a captain and an assistant to help you.
Normally guests like to cater for themselves but we can provide food by prior request. We also will provide you with soft drinks all day.
The package is available from 1 October through to 30 April when the Oman fishing season is at its best and the fishing week is Saturday to Thursday. There is no fishing on a Friday.
Location and how to get there
The villa is in the seaside town of Shuwaymeyah and the fishing takes place on or around the islands surrounding Halaneyatt island. There are flights daily from Muscat, Oman and Dubai, UAE to Salalah, Oman and it is then about three hours drive 300km north east from Salalah. We can arrange airport transfer (one way) if you require for USD 350 or you can rent a car from the airport which gives you a bit more flexibility.
Pricing and payment
The price is USD 800 to USD 1,500 per boat per day and accommodation in our villa is USD 250 day. The villa sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms. and currently there are no other accommodation options in Shuwaymeyah so the package is the boat and the villa. The minimum amount of days for booking is three days and the optimum is six days. To secure a booking we require 100% payment one month prior to the booking. Please note that tips for the drivers and guides are not included.
