Tour outline:

This tour is an unusual Noukhada kayak tour and is dependent on a limited time around high tide.  We depart from Yas Beach in our power boat, towing the kayaks.  The first 5km is by power boat in order to get you to the best route in the Yas Mangroves.  At the entrance to the mangroves you transfer into the kayaks and a Noukhada Guide will guide you, paddling yourself in your own kayak, through the best mangrove route (the Volker Channel) in the Yas Island Mangroves.  Wildlife is not guaranteed but this is normally a great place to see the upside down jellyfish and get close to herons.

The kayaking is some 5km and one third of this is through the dense mangroves.  At the other side you paddle across mud flats towards Yas Island and back to the beach.  For most people this will be about 2 hours of paddling.

This tour is very tide dependent and can only be paddled one hour either side of high tide.  Hence, starting on time is key.

The tour is suitable for beginners with a reasonable level of fitness.

There is a high possibility of having to walk parts of the route so please wear footwear as advised.
